The Manifesto

These are not requests. These are demands born from necessity, from dignity, from justice.

See Our Demands

Truckers Are Humans Too — this is not just a slogan.

It's our voice. Our determination. Our fight for respect, for justice, for the basic human dignity every driver deserves.

We are not numbers in a system.

We are not GPS dots on a map.

We are not just an expense on a balance sheet.

We are human beings. And we will fight until we win.

Working Conditions

1

Ban on sending drivers on trips longer than 2–3 weeks without returning home

Allowing 12-week trips without a real return home is modern slavery.

We demand that the maximum time spent on the road without returning to one's family be limited to 2–3 weeks.

Long stretches away from home are not only inhumane, but dangerous for road safety.

An exhausted, alienated driver becomes a danger to themselves and to others.

Our lives should not be sacrificed on the altar of profits.

Sanitary Rights

2

Mandatory toilets at every company accepting more than 5 trucks per day

We demand that every company and terminal accepting at least five trucks daily provides clean, accessible indoor restrooms.

No more Toi-Toi cabins, no more treating truckers like cattle.

Basic sanitary needs are the foundation of human dignity.

3

Mandatory access to showers at every company or terminal

Showers are not a luxury — they are hygiene, health, and respect.

A shower may be reasonably paid for, but it must be accessible to every driver without exception.

4

Mandatory canteen or waiting area if drivers cannot stay in their cabs during loading/unloading

If a company requires drivers to leave their cabs during loading or unloading, it must provide a proper waiting area.

Drivers are not trash to be left outside in the cold or rain.

5

Ban on forcing drivers to unload goods without separate agreements and pay

A driver is responsible for safe transport — not for warehouse labor.

If a company expects drivers to load or unload, this must be formally stated and separately compensated.

No more unpaid forced labor!

6

The right to 11 hours of daily rest without pressure from companies

Rest is not a privilege — it's a right.

We demand that drivers are guaranteed 11 hours of real rest per day, without pressure or manipulation from dispatchers or logistics planners.

Safety and Rest

7

Safe parking areas with security, lighting, and restrooms every 100 km along main routes

We demand the construction of safe, monitored, well-lit parking lots with access to restrooms and showers every 100 km along major international routes.

Drivers must be able to rest without fearing for their safety or cargo.

8

Unconditional respect for the 45-minute break after 4.5 hours of driving

Companies must not pressure or threaten drivers to skip mandatory breaks.

Taking a break is a legal right, not an option!

9

Financial penalties for companies denying access to restrooms or waiting areas

Refusing access to basic sanitary facilities must lead to serious financial penalties.

10

Ban on pushing drivers onto muddy fields and unpaved loading areas

Companies must provide professional, paved loading and unloading areas.

Truckers are professionals, not intruders.

11

Mandatory access for drivers onto company premises during loading/unloading

Drivers must be allowed to stay close to their cargo under professional supervision — not pushed outside the gates like criminals.

12

Ban on punishing drivers for delays caused by traffic, accidents, or mechanical breakdowns

Transport is not teleportation.

Delays caused by events beyond a driver's control must not result in financial penalties or disciplinary actions.

13

Ban on forcing drivers to break traffic laws

We demand freedom from company pressure to break the law.

We want to drive safely and legally — without fear of losing our jobs.

14

Mandatory training for warehouse and terminal staff on how to respectfully treat drivers

Respect for drivers should be part of standard training for all logistics, warehouse, and security staff.

15

Anonymous abuse reporting system for drivers

Every driver must have access to an anonymous, safe way to report abuse or mistreatment without fear of retaliation.

Abuses must be recorded and investigated!

16

The right to health insurance and accident support, regardless of employment form

Drivers must have access to basic healthcare and accident insurance — whether employed on contracts, freelance, or B2B terms.

No driver should be left unprotected!

17

End to fake self-employment

Companies must take responsibility for their drivers.

Truckers are not 'entrepreneurs' — they are working professionals deserving full rights and protections.

Contract and Wage Fairness

18

Full contract transparency + End of 'minimum wage + cash under the table' schemes

We demand full transparency in employment contracts:

  • No hidden fines or penalties.
  • No secret 'internal regulations' added after signing.
  • No more minimum wage officially + the rest hidden in shady cash payments or fake expense allowances.

Everything on paper. Everything official. Everything honest.

19

Equal pay for equal work — end wage dumping

We demand fairness:

A driver working in a specific country must be paid according to that country's wage standards.

No more exploiting Ukrainian, Polish, Spanish, or Romanian drivers to undercut wages in richer countries.

One Europe = One standard = One respect.

Truckers Are Humans Too

We Demand Respect, Fairness, Safety, and a Life Beyond the Cab!

We will not stop. We will not be silenced. Our convoy will roll on — until our rights are recognized across all of Europe.
